Hello
I’m Alexandria O’Brien, but you can call me Alex. I’m a strategic creative thinker who blends design, writing, and content strategy to help brands find clarity in both story and style. I don’t just make things look good; I reveal their story. My work sits at the intersection of contrast and harmony; balancing clean visual identity with thoughtful narrative, structure with intuition, and creativity with intention. Whether I’m shaping a brand, refining a voice, or turning scattered ideas into a cohesive digital identity, my goal is always the same: to create work that feels polished, purposeful, and unmistakably you.
About Me.
I’m a writer, designer, and strategic creative who believes that every project, brand, website, every piece of content begins with a story worth telling. I help people uncover that story, shape it with intention, and translate it into visuals and words that feel unmistakably like them.
My work seamlessly blends strategy and style, clarity and creativity, structure and imagination. I design with purpose, write with intuition, and build digital identities that feel both polished and personal.

My Professional Path
My background blends writing, marketing, design, and strategic thinking. A combination that lets me approach every project with a full picture in mind.
-
Freelance Creative (Current): I craft mini brand kits, websites, digital products, newsletters, long-form and short-form writing, ready-to-post social content, and visual assets for clients who want their identity to feel cohesive, intentional, and elevated. My current collaborations & clients include McLeod-Caruso Creative and Wolf Pack Vending.
-
Marketing Assistant: I’ve supported campaigns, built content calendars, written copy across multiple platforms, and helped refine digital presence for organizations with complex audiences.
-
Higher Education: I gained experience supporting student communication across institutional systems. This work required precision, clarity, and consistency to ensure information was accessible, timely, and easy to understand. These foundational skills continue to shape how I approach structured communication today.
What I Do Now
Sans x Serif is my creative business where I work with brands and individuals to define, refine, and strengthen their digital presence. It’s rooted in strategy, storytelling, and thoughtful design, and shaped by my background in writing, communications, and visual identity.

The 7 to 7 Mom is a content-driven platform built around motherhood, routine, and reflection. It exists as a space for connection and encouragement, blending honest writing with functional design to support mothers navigating full, everyday lives.
Across both brands, my work currently focuses on:
-
Designing branding systems and visual identities
-
Building websites that feel curated, cohesive, and intentional
-
Writing with voice and strategy working together
-
Creating digital products that are both beautiful and functional
-
Developing social media content that feels purposeful and aligned

At the center of my work for either brand is a focus on creating things that feel considered, useful, and true to the people they’re made for.

A Bit About Me (Outside of Work)
Beyond creative projects, I’m a mother, a reader, a maker, and someone who finds meaning in the in-between moments.
Here are the things that shape me:
-
I read constantly, drawn to stories that deepen my understanding of voice, rhythm, and perspective.
-
I photograph life as it exists around me: the quiet details, imperfect backgrounds, and moments that often go unnoticed.
-
I’m always creating and organizing small structures that bring clarity to everyday life.
-
I study the personalities behind design: how color palettes, typography, and layout communicate feeling and intent.
-
I’m passionate about building virtual villages for mothers, creatives, and anyone carving out their own space online.
-
I notice details in conversations, branding, and people; then use those observations to create something meaningful.

In short: I’m a collector of stories.

Why I Do This Work
Because I believe every person and every project has a story, most people just need help finding the language or the visuals to express it.
I love the moment when a client sees their idea reflected back at them and finally recognizes themselves in it.
I love connecting the audience to the intention.
I love watching scattered thoughts turn into something cohesive, elevated, and real.
And I love helping people feel proud of what they’re building.
A Note on My Creative Life
My background, experiences, and personal interests together form the foundation of my creative life—the writer, the designer, and the visual storyteller. Each brings a different kind of joy, especially as I shape ideas into something I can share with others. I’ve always believed that passion becomes meaningful when it’s paired with intention; a perspective that reminds me a creative life isn’t built all at once, but gently and deliberately, in your own way. And I’m grateful that mine continues to unfold in exactly that way.
A Final Note
If you’re here, welcome.
Whether you’re a brand, a business, or someone with a spark of an idea, I’d love to help you shape it.
Let’s make something honest and make it beautifully.
Signed,
Alex
