I am Alexandria O'Brien. I’m a writer, designer, and creative thinker who believes that every project, brand, website, every piece of content begins with a story worth telling. I help people uncover that story, shape it with intention, and translate it into visuals and words that feel unmistakably them.

 

I design with purpose, write with intuition, and build brand identities that feel both polished and personal.

My Professional Path

My background blends writing, marketing, design, and strategic thinking. A combination that lets me approach every project with a full picture in mind.

• Freelance Creative (Most Recent): I assist with developing/managing websites and creating digital products, newsletters, short- & long-form writing, ready-to-post social content, and visual assets for clients who want their identity to feel cohesive, intentional, and elevated. My current collaborations & clients include McLeod-Caruso Creative and Wolf Pack Vending. 

• Marketing Assistant and Intern: I’ve supported campaigns, built content calendars, written copy across multiple platforms, and helped refine digital presence for organizations with complex audiences.

• Higher Education: I gained experience supporting student communication across institutional systems. This work required precision, clarity, and consistency to ensure information was accessible, timely, and easy to understand. These foundational skills continue to shape how I approach structured communication today.

 

What I Do Now

Sans x Serif is my creative business where I collaborate with (some emerging, often growing) brands to shape their messaging, develop content strategies and schedules, and identify and refine a creative direction that feels authentically theirs.

 

The 7 to 7 Mom is a content-driven platform built around motherhood, habits vs routines, and reflection. It exists as a space for connection and encouragement, using raw and unfiltered stories to support mothers the messy and meaningful motherhood.

 

Across both brands, my work currently focuses on:

• Designing branding systems and visual identities

• Building websites 

• Writing in an authentic, personal voice

• Creating digital products that are both attractive and functional

• Developing social media content that feels purposeful but remains true

At the center of my work for either brand is a focus on creating things that feel considered, useful, and exactly the people they’re made for.

A Bit About Me (Outside of Work)

Beyond creative projects, I’m a mother, a reader, a maker, and someone who finds meaning in the in-between moments.

Here are the things that shape me:

• I read constantly, drawn to stories that deepen my understanding of voice, rhythm, and perspective.

• I photograph life as it exists around me. As a mother of 2, all of my moments are meaningful (even when they are a bit messy).

• I enjoy creating and organizing small structures/systems that bring clarity to everyday life.

• I study up on the personalities behind design: how color palettes, typography, and layout communicate feeling and intent.

• I’m passionate about building virtual villages for mothers, creatives, and anyone carving out their own space online.

• I notice details in conversations, branding, and people; then use those observations to create something meaningful.

In short: I’m a collector of stories.

Why I Do This Work

As I said at the beginning, I believe every person and every project has a story, most people just need help finding the language or the visuals to express it.

I love the moment when a client sees their ideas 'come to life'.
I love connecting the audience to the intention.
I love watching late-night thoughts and mid-day dreams turn into something cohesive, elevated, and real.
And I love helping people feel proud of what they’re building.
